Cherry fruit with a hint of smoke. Medium bodied, supple, but with short finish. Tasted Feb. 2014.
The Speri Family boasts more than 150 years of winemaking history using only their own grapes. Now under the stewardship of the fifth generation, the influence of the pedigree of their grapes and talents can be found in every glass. This 2011 offers aromas of ripe blackberry, stone fruit, vanilla root and herbs. Creamy with a depth of ripe fruit on the palate and a savory edge and chewy tannins.
