Such an easy-to-enjoy rich and smooth Spanish red wine blend of old vines Monastrell, Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache wine grapes sourced from Spain`s Yecla wine region. Great value under $20. Look for ripe black raspberry, blueberry, lavender, tobacco, vanilla, mocha and spicy oak flavours on the palate. Great now and for the next eight years.

Food pairings: roast lamb, grilled pork chops, pepper steak.

Reviews and Ratings

From the Yecla wine region, Solanera Viñas Viejas 2016 is great value under $20. Produced by Castaño, this is a juicy, succulent 65% old-vines Monastrell, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 15% Grenache full-bodied red wine blend with blueberry, dark plum, dark cherry, cedar spice, fine herbs and pepper spice flavours on the palate. Deep, rich, and textured. Enjoy now and for the next 10 years. Pair with a roast of pork. - Community Wine Reviews
