Natalie's Score: 91/100

A savoury, full-bodied red blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Alicante Bouschet grapes produced by winemakers, Nuno Franco and Alexandre Relvas. Fresh dark fruit on the nose, smoky with dried herb aromas. Would benefit from about three years cellaring. Decant two hours prior to pouring with grilled game sausages.

Food pairings: vegetarian lasagne, veal parmesan, roast chicken.

Reviews and Ratings

Produced by Nuno Franco & Alexandre Relvas, Escolha Dos Enologos 2016 is a 40% Alicante Bouschet, 30% Touriga Franca, 30% Touriga Nacional red wine blend from the Alentejano Wine Region. Juicy with brambleberry and dark cherry fruit aromas, accompanies with sweet cake spice, dried florals and herb flavours on the palate. Tannins are firm. Enjoy now or hold for three years. - Community Wine Reviews
