Reviews and Ratings

Bill Wright Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Smoke toast vanilla. I could just sit and smell this for a long time. But I won't. Full ripe fruit. And a long fruit finish. Very nice.
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Sensual aromas of ripe strawberries, cassis and sweet plums, with vanilla, white pepper and spice. Full-bodied, well-balanced, luscious. Elegant to the last drop. A great date wine.
Tasted Jan. 2017
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Deep berry notes, white pepper, smoke, vanilla, and a bit of a perfumed or floral note - a lot going on! Full bodied, nicely balanced, and a lingering finish. Perfect steak wine. Enjoy!
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A wonderful jammy ruby red Shiraz Viognier blend from Barossa Valley. This wine is well balanced and offers deeply concentrated blackberry jam with medium tannins and acidity. Silky texture and med-full bodied. A pleasure to taste on its own and pairs well with BBQ ribs, BBQ burgers, Montreal smoked meat brisket or pulled pork nachos. Tasted Jan 2017. Rated 90/100.
Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Very restrained for Barossa. This wine features blackberry, black raspberry, kirsch, glycerine, pressed blue flowers, iron/bluberry and a small lick of dried herb. Well put-together. 90 Points. (www.ottawawinejournal.com)
At over 15 % alcohol, this Shiraz is a big wine needing food -- preferably a rare rib roast or steak. Despite the alcohol, the wine is smooth with layers of black berry and black raspberry. - Community Wine Reviews
