Natalie's Score: 90/100

A 51% Semillon and 49 Sauvignon Blanc white blend from the Margaret River wine region. Dry and zesty with a riot of flavours on the palate. Look for lime zest, ripe nectarine, guava, passionfruit, grassy, herbal and mineral flavours with a mouth-watering finish on the palate. Skuttlebutt is a nautical term for the source of water on sea going vessels and has since derived the slang meaning of gossip or rumour.

Sauvignon Blanc Semillon food pairings: coquilles St Jacques, Greek salad, salmon tartare served on shaved carrot and zucchini.

Reviews and Ratings

From the Margaret River, Western Australia. Skuttlebutt 2018 is a medium-bodied Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon white wine blend. A lot going on here with lemon and lime zest, green pea, guava, passionfruit and lemon curd flavours rounded and zesty on the palate. Pair with grilled Mahi-mahi topped with apricot compote. - Community Wine Reviews
