Reviews and Ratings

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Deep dark inky purple red wine with rich ripe black fruit (cassis and plum), graphite, anise and floral. The palate is elegant, opulent and full-bodied. Acidity is lingering and well-balanced. Tannins are velvety smooth. The finish is minty long . Incredible wine! Tasted Nov 2016 - @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
A true expression of Stags Leap District terroir in the heart of Napa Valley. The Shafer family has been making wine for four generations, establishing the winery in 1978. Son Doug joined john Shafer, his father of course, back in 1983 and thus they coined the phrase a generation and a half one point five to describe their collaboration on this wine. The 2012 vintage of the Cabernet Sauvignon One Point Five is mostly Cabernet Sauvignon grapes with a splash of Malbec and Petit Verdot. - Community Wine Reviews
