Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Rosato made from 100% Rondinella grapes. Interesting, almost “orange” wine elements featured here. Pale salmon colour, aromas of mandarin, apricot, white blossoms and mint. Also a faint note of light petrol. Flavours are brisk, showing; clementine sweetness, pink grapefruit and freshly baked biscuits. High acidity, light body and finish. This is a little different from a traditional Rosé styled wine as there is no malo used. Very crisp. A perfect pairing with herbed chicken and washed rind cheeses. 90 points - tasted January 2018
Greg Hughes rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This wine is made entirely from Rondinella - it is rare to see it not paired with its Veneto contemporaries.
Interesting colour, somewhere between burnt orange and gold. It does indicate oxidative exposure.
Aromas of peach, citrus oil, cherry, grapefruit and vanilla bean.
The flavours are zesty and fresh. More cherry, peach, and grapefruit. There's a touch of sage on the finish. This one is dry and somewhat fresh.
Pair it with fish and chips, or pasta in a light oil along with shrimp and garlic.
Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted March 10th, 2018. Colour of watermelon juice. Legs light. Aromas and flavours of orange peel, tangerine, mandarin orange, peach and watermelon. Taste dry, fruity, light body, mouthwatering, low alcohol. Long finish of grapefruit citrus. This is an interesting rosato from Veneto. That would match with local white fish if cooked in a low temperature style. Very unique to my palate.
This Italian rosato from the Veneto wine region is made from the Rondinella wine grape. Scaia (2016) is tangy, fruity cherry and a touch of spice on the palate. Perfect pairing to grilled chicken. The wine bottle has a glass closure. - Community Wine Reviews
