Complex, dry and savoury Chilean red wine with gorgeously rich black fruit aromas and flavours. Pleasant tarry-tart black cranberry on the finish. Full-bodied with a velvet smooth texture. The Carignan grapes are dry farmed, which adds richness, depth and character to the wine. Dry farming means that the grapes are not irrigated and must rely on the rain water that nature provides, however little that is in dry climates like this one. It also has the effect of producing smaller grapes or berries with more concentrated flavours.

Carignan food pairings: beef braciole stuffed with sausage and currants.

Reviews and Ratings

This dry farmed Chilean red wine is made from Carignan grapes, a popular southern French variety planted near the Mediterranean. The grapes are sourced two vineyards in the Cauquenes Valley: one is coastal, the other inland. The vines are more than 80 years old. Rich and deep. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
