Vintages Wine Panel: Sourced exclusively from the winery’s North Canyon vineyard, which is located along the Santa Maria Bench and open to the cooling effects of the Pacific wines. This is prime Pinot Noir territory. The nose is layered and expressive with strawberry, cherry, vanilla and earth. Dry, fruity balanced and with a zesty acidity on the palate. The finish is long and succulent. My note: Lovely, seductive plush fruit: fleshy berries with a satin texture. Medium- to full-bodied with lots of layers of pleasure. Balanced and satisfying with a long finish.

Pinot Noir food pairings: duck breast.

Santa Barbara Collection 2009 Pinot Noir opens with bright aromas of fresh berries and sweet oak spice, which lead to an explosion of ripe cherry, strawberry and high-tone raspberry on the palate. This food-friendly wine has a mouth-watering texture, fine tannins, and is well balanced with a lively finish.
