Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Mark your calendars, February 16 is Syrah day! This would be a great one to help with your celebrations. Aromas of dark cherry and plum with hints of mocha, spice, and smoke. Full bodied, with soft tannins, and juicy berry flavours on the palate, and hints of mocha and spice on a lengthy finish. Enjoy with any grilled meat or mushroom dishes.
Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

What stands out most for me about this 2018 Syrah from Sandhill is how it tastes. In particular, it has an appealing smoked meat flavour. Yes, smoke meat. Yes, it is appealing to me. Its in a supporting role compared to this red’s pronounced flavours of juicy dark fruit and savoury spice.

Harvested from a single vineyard in British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley appellation, this purply hued creation feels medium bodied, extra dry, velvety, with some light grip tannins.

I’ll serve this with slow cooked ribs coated in a savoury sauce.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
