Reviews and Ratings

Jacky Blisson rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Medium ruby in colour. Moderately intense nose of ripe dark cherry, fragrant peony, and earthy undertones. Velvetty smooth on the medium bodied palate, a high toned floral and fruity core, with animal notes. Dissipates quickly on the finish, with a little lingering astringency.
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Aromas and flavors of black cherry, earth and barnyard notes. Very smooth wine with a soft finish.
Colin McKone - Sommelier rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Aromas of black cherry, earth, smoke, leather with tart cherry following through on the finish. Medium bodied with medium tannins and slightly higher acidity. Will pair well with tomato based Italian dishes.
Carola Price rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

Deep red and bright. On the nose there is a meaty component with black cherry coming through. The flavours of juicy black fruit and some earthy notes come through. It is a medium bodied wine that is super easy to drink. Pair with rabbit, polenta and, of course, mushroom pizza. Drink now to 2 years
This Italian red wine is great with barbecued meats. This is an Italian red wine blend of 70% Corvina and 30% Rondinella grapes that's re-fermented on whole Amarone lees to ensure more colour and flavour. The wine is aged for 18 months in large oak barrels. Decant 1 hour. Polished tannins. - Community Wine Reviews
