Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Sacred Hill Pinot Noir Marlborough 2018, reveals flavors of raspberry, plum, rose, dried leaves, cocoa and cedar. The wine displays polished tannins and a fruit forward finish. A vibrant Pinot Noir for its age. Tasted at New-Zealand Wine Pure Discovery, May 2019.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Aromas of cherry and cranberry with earth, spice, and leather hints. Medium bodied, with bright acidity, and tons of ripe berry on the palate. Enjoy with turkey dinner with all of the trimmings.
Paula Bernardino rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

I attended the Pure Discovery 2019 event featuring wines from New Zealand. At the Toronto event May 8, 2019 I focused on New Zealand’s reds, which included mainly Pinot Noir, Merlot and Syrah.

I tried the Pinot Noir from Sacred Hill Vineyards. Aromas of cherry and raspberry and a velvety finish.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
