The traditional British expression of "lock, stock and barrel" refers to various parts of a shopkeeper's musket. This is a blend of 38% Cabernet Franc, 24% Malbec, 9% Petit Verdot and 7% Merlot, all free run juice. About 40% of the wine was aged in new oak barrels, and 60% in second use. Aromas of black fruit and toasty oak. Pair with grilled meats.

Food pairings: egg dishes, vegetarian quiche, green salad with hard cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This is a Merlot blend done in a Meritage style. Deep inky ruby colour with profound aromas of plum, coconut, coffee, café mocha, earth and fresh leaves. Something in there reminiscent of a chocolate macaroon cookie! In the mouth lots of plum, dark chocolate, fresh ripe stewed strawberries. Medium acidity with soft, yet present tannins. A fuller finish in the body with fruity, earthy reflections left behind. Multifaceted and lengthily layered. Pair with lamb, hearty stews and washed rind cheeses.

Rosewood Lock Stock And Barrel (2014) is a Bordeaux-style red wine blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot wine grapes from the Niagara Peninsula wine region. Look for ripe raspberry, blackberry and plum on the palate with some savoury spice. Decant one hour proir to serving or cellar for another three years. - Community Wine Reviews
