The acidity is lively with a medium body. Flavours of the apple and pear repeat on the palate with a hint of straw on the finish. Tasted January 31, 2016.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review: Very pale straw in colour, with aromas of pear, almond, minerality, and apricot. A great acidity, but still soft in the mouth, yielding a bit of the more traditional Chardonnay character. The taste is bright, with lemon and yellow apple predominant.

Emilie Ryan rated this wine as 77/100 with the following review: A sharp Chardonnay… Presentation: Like the logo but the rest is a little busy. I actually prefer the old label. Appearance: Very light yellow Nose: White peaches, vanilla, Taste: Citrus, nutty, acidic. Finish: Surprising acidity and citrus in the back. Overall impression: A sharp Chardonnay that would pair well with seafood or spicy food. Value: 2.5 out of 5
The Chardonnay grapes for this vivacious Prince Edward County white wine are grown in Hillier from the winery's Hungry Point vineyards. These were named for the historically meager crops that were the curse of local farmers trying to survive on the rocky, windswept soils where the low yielding, dry farmed vines are now planted. - Community Wine Reviews
