Reviews and Ratings

Pungent cinnamon and ginger spice on the nose of the Gassmanns’ 2009 Gewurztraminer Stegreben follow on a sweet, glycerin-rich palate for an impression that I can only liken to Amaretto liqueur, but with the infusion being one of spice cookies rather than macaroons. Quince jelly and banana enhance a sense of enormous ripeness rather predictably given the impression made by its immediate siblings. But while this is less gaudy than some of them, it also lacks the sort of primary juiciness that helped keep others from going over the top, and that was especially impressively conveyed in the Haguenau. Drink this Stegreben over the next 6-8 years.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
