A bold, big flavoured red wine with black cherry liqueur notes and smoke. Terrific value and taste here for the price. Try it with roast beef tonight.

Reviews and Ratings

The vineyards of the Rasteau region face south, which provides the ideal exposure to the sun: ripening light in the morning without the hot, burning rays of the afternoon. The soils are richly textured with a mix of clay-limestone, marl and sandstone soils. The region was awarded Cru status in 2010. Grenache and Mourvèdre usually lead in the red wine blends here, although Syrah is increasingly used. - Community Wine reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
