From R. López de Heredia, Viña Cubillo Crianza 2012 is a mature and full-bodied red wine blend of 65% Grenache and 35% Mazuelo, Graciano and other local grapes. Look for earthy florals, truffles, sweet dried tobacco leaf, dried fruit, dark plum, nutty and chocolate flavours on this unfiltered, dry and plushy red from the Rioja wine region. Fantastic value here.

Crianza food pairings: lamb roast, grilled rib steak, pork tenderloin, veal cutlets.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

My favourite producer in Rioja. Doing it right, the traditional way. This crianza (yes, crianza) released this year (2021) has delightful primary cherry and blackberry characteristics, but is taking on tertiary notes of leather, citrus, dried herb, and sumac. Crazy good. Would do battle and win against most Reservas for double or triple the price. 94 Points.
