Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The Quadrus 2014, harvested in the Douo region in Portugal, offers aromas of sugarplum, black raspberry, lilac, bread, toasted marshmallow and vanilla. A blend of 55% Touriga National, 30% Tinta Roriz and 15% Souzao give the wine balance, structure, a lovely medium body and long and well layered finish. Palate: sour plum, tart blueberry, earl grey tea, graphite, dark chocolate and vanilla. Excellent everyday wine. Enjoy!
Quadrus 2014 is a smooth and silky Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo) and Sousão red wine blend produced from grapes sourced from the Douro wine region grown at about 650 metres above sea level. Beautifully bright and vibrant with dark cherry, berry, cracked pepper and baking spice flavours that linger on the palate. Nicely done. Pair with grilled pork chops. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
