Reviews and Ratings

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

The Pondview Cab Franc rosé pours with a rose petal pink appearance and pronounced citrus blossom, cherry, strawberry and bubblegum aromas. This berry burst characteristic is repeated in a glass. The palate shows moderate acidity, a light-bodied texture, and a long candied fruit finish. This is a perfect brunch/ patio wine. Enjoy with leafy green lightly dressed salads. Tasted July 2016. @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
Emilie Ryan rated this wine as 78/100 with the following review:

If you like fragrant wines, you should enjoy this rosé…
Bottle presentation: Colourful. However, the font and the border/edging give it a dated appearance, one akin to a grandmother’s handkerchief
Appearance: Strawberry red
Nose: A surprisingly fragrant, if not overpowering, floral and raspberry nose, with a hint of green herbs
Taste: Green vegetables, herbs and flowers
Finish: Strong alcohol and a hint of minerals.
Overall impression: Although an interesting combination, the various elements seem overpowering, if not unbalanced.
Value: 4 out of 5
Pondview Estate Winery has three generations of winemaking experience which started in Sicily, Italy. The 2015 vintage of the Pondview Cabernet Franc Rosé is spicy, strawberry, raspberry and floral on the nose. This is a lovely, easy to understand wine that can be hand on its own or with freshly steamed shrimp. - Community Wine Review
