Reviews and Ratings

Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

In my opinion, this valued priced Carménère has table presence above and beyond it is sticker price.

Harvested from wines in Colchagua Valley wine region of Chile, this red wine left a pleasing impression on my senses because of the way it evokes delicious expressions of jammy dark berries, plums, and savoury spices. Plus, it feels lovely - by staying in the medium body range despite the ripe fruit and 13.5% ABV, by being silky and super dry, by being mild mannered when it comes to tannins and acidity. I’m glad that I opened this bottle. Enjoy.

PS – The Carménère is one of Chile’s flag ship grape, but it originated in Bordeaux, France. The grape was believed to have been Merlot for many decades, many good reasons for that so read up on the transcontinental story of this grape when you have a moment.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Aromas of dark berry, currant, pepper and a hint of coffee. Full bodied and smooth with medium tannins. Flavours of berry and spice on the palate. Enjoy with marinated, grilled pork.
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Medium purple coloured with juicy elements of dark plum, black cherries and a hint of earth. Flavours reveal ripe red apples, blueberry compote, blackcurrants, licorice and anise. Flavourful and fruit forward. Pair with sloppy joes or beef tacos.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
