Reviews and Ratings
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review: I love this wine. Great value, exceptional taste and an all around great choice. Dry, well balanced, integrated alcohol. Beautiful brilliant pale salmon pink. Medium finish with persistence of tart blood orange, orange blossom, lime zest and pomegranate aril. Made with the traditional method of the storied Champagne, this Crémant D'Alsace Brut Rose is a fantastic experience in the mouth and on the senses. Buy by the case option for festive occasions or to have on hand throughout the year. Tasted Jan 2017. Rated 91/100.
Gwen Barton rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review: Very pretty, light salmon coloured sparkling rose out of Alsace. Deep flavours of strawberry, raspberry and green apple. Medium bodies with lively acidity and light, delicate bubbles. Perfect for Friday evening with friends and an assortment of appetizers!
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review: Aromatic, flavourful and has a gorgeous fizzy pale pink appearance! The Pierre Sparr brut Rosé shows prominent notes of rose petals, starwberry and rhubarb. The palate is crisp and clean with high acidity and a long tangy rhubarb, raspberry and citrus flavourful finish. Enjoy with crispy baja fish tacos. Tasted Jan 2017 - @sommsosa / bespoketastings.ca
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review: Excellent value and delicious too. Aromas of strawberry, cherry, and citrus, with vibrant effervescence, mouthwatering acidity and bright citrus and berry notes. Enjoy with smoked salmon appetizers.
Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review: Visually vibrant with a rich salmon colour and lots of fine bubbles. On the nose, ripe strawberry, almond in the shell, pink grapefruit, a touch of bubblegum, and saline minerality. Present on the palate with notes of pomelo, pomegranate, ripe red field berries, and just a touch of sweetness. Lovely on its own, with seafood salad, or with appetizers. Good bang for your buck. Tasted March 2022
Rebecca Meir-Liebman - Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review: Located in the heart of Alsace, this winery was founded in 1680, and has carried on the family’s traditions of wine making down through the generations. This sparkler is salmon in colour, simple, and straight forward with red cherry fruitiness. It’s appealing, easy going, and very much an any day, any time wine. Like so many other Pierre Sparr wines, this one is an excellent value, and an elegant and delicious alternative to more expensive Champagnes.
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review: Light, refreshing amber pink colour with some generous mousse. Crafted from 100% Pinot Noir grapes to give it the pretty amber hue. Fresh cut oxidizing apple, raspberry, toast, and buscuit aromas and flavours. Refreshing acidity and great for the budget conscious sparkling drinkers. Tasted: January 2016
This well-priced Crémant d'Alsace rosé is produced by famed producer, Pierre Sparr. The wine is made in the traditional method as in Champagne and this medium-bodied 100% Pinot Noir sparkler is bone dry with great acidity for food. On the palate, the crémant is elegant with fresh raspberry, blood orange and citrus notes. A lovely deep pink colour in the glass, as well. This crémant rosé was awarded Gold at the 2018 Palmares du Concours Général Agricole competition. - Community Wine Reviews
