Reviews and Ratings

Michael rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Very smooth, one of the best Malbecs we have tasted for the price.
Greg Hughes rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Absolutely stellar Malbec from Piattelli, in high-up Cafayate. Higher altitudes means more skin development and better aromatics and acidity.
You definitely see a beautiful rich colour from the skins, here. Rich and glass-coating purple.
Aromas of black currant, plum, mint, smoke. Extroverted aromatics jump out at you.
The flavours are exactly what you want from Argentine Malbec. It's rich, but not flabby. There is plenty of structure (acid and tannin); giving it form.
Similar dark fruit (currant, plum), with some dried mint and herb.
This has some good cellar potential too. Give it half a decade, no sweat.
A great pairing would maybe be a classic tourtiere or some Korean beef.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Lovely and lots of flavour! Aromas of blueberry, blackberry, vanilla, dried herbs, smoke and spice. This wine is full bodied and bold on the palate, with firm, drying tannins, vibrant fruit, and a spicy, leathery finish. Enjoy with a marinated flank steak.
Piattelli 2015 is a Grand Reserve 100% Malbec from the Cafayate Valley, Salta, Argentina. Lovely, big and rich with ripe blackberry, blueberry and mulberry flavours on the palate finishing long with light savoury herbs and good acidity. All in all a well-balanced, rounded and very easy to drink now Malbec. Pair with pork and lamb kebabs. - Community Wine Reviews
