Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Velvety smooth, The Barossan Shiraz is packed full of plum, fig, chocolate, spice, menthol, and graphite, showing the complexity this wine and region are known for. An absolute crowd pleaser, The Barossan is a great choice all year with braised dishes, BBQ, and flavorful cheese, such as Guinness Irish Porter Cheddar. Tasted June 2021. 91 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Aromas of ripe plum, blackberry, blueberry, and warm spicy hints. Full bodied, with young tannins, bright acidity, and ripe, dark berry and plum notes, along with some mocha and spice. Opens up and tannins smooth with at least 30 minutes decanting. Enjoy with a rare, well seasoned steak.
Love the Barossan from the Peter Lehmann winemaking team. Always delicious and robust with dark cherry, blackberry, blueberry, mocha, spicy, toasty and smoky. Powerful and all the things I love in a Shiraz. Tannins are firm. Decant two hours prior to pouring with barbecued ribs. - Community Wine Reviews
