Natalie's Score: 92/100

Complex, balanced and structured: this Californian Cabernet offers lots of pleasure but also has great elegance and length on the finish. Aromas of dark fruit, spice and smoke. Layered and concentrated. The Paso Robles wine region is more southern than Napa Valley in the state of California, and so wines there ripen longer and develop terrific intensity. Pair with a rare filet mignon.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: rib steak, lamb chops, pork tenderloin, roast chicken.

Reviews and Ratings

Cherie Cole rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Complex with layers of fruit, spice and earth. Plum, dark, dried fruit, cinnamon, clove and leather on the nose that follow through on the palate. Full-bodied and bold with a perfect balance between tannins and acidity. Long, dark fruit and spice finish. Pair with grilled beef, veal or roast pork. Tasted October 02, 2016.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Deep purple with aromas of tar, plum, blueberry, cedar, and cassis. The taste is juicy cherry and plum, with a distinctive richness, and medium acidity. A little rounded tannin holds it all together nicely. Perfect for roast beef, or stew.
Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Silky and focused, blueberry, black cherry, tobacco leaf woven through with warm spice and suede-like tannins. Open up a bottle with braised beef shanks or prime rib.
