The Montmains region is a premier cru district on the left bank of the Serein River of Burgundy's Chablis. The old vines are planted with a south-east exposure in clay-limestone soils. Fresh and crisp Burgundian premier cru white wine, with zesty lime and white grapefruit aromas. Very inviting Old World unoaked Chardonnay from northern Burgundy. The vines on this 33 hectare estate in Chablis were planted in 1971. Pair with butter-dipped scallops or garlic shrimp.

Chablis food pairings: grilled buttered lobster, seafood salad, grilled fish, grilled shrimp in garlic butter.

Reviews and Ratings

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A beautiful presentation of a French Burgundian Chablis...Persistent lime, lemon, green apple and plump sun-kissed grapefruit on the palate. The beautiful lingering flavors are supported with a lengthy taste of mineral and tart citrus on the finish with a hint of spice - truly delicious.
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A classic benchmark Chablis with mineral (flinty), lime and tart green apple notes. The palate is dominated by crisp clean mouthwatering lemon-line flavours. Enjoy with freshly shucked oysters. Tasted by @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
This premier cru Chablis from the Burgundy is from Pascal Bouchard. The Chardonnay wine grapes for Vieilles Vignes (2014) are sourced from vines planted on the 33-hectare estate in Chablis. The wine is crisp with zesty lime, white grapefruit and a firm mineral streak. Could age for a couple of years. Then pair with raw oysters on the half shell. - Community Wine Reviews
