This is a spectacular blend of Bordeaux grapes: 30% merlot, 29% cabernet franc, 25% cabernet sauvignon, 15% petit sirah, 1% syrah. A heavy-hitter that gets more refined every year. This vintage has the caged power of a tiger stalking back and forth behind bars... decant it and you'll taste that gorgeously savage energy and concentration. Loaded with dark fruit and toasty oak. This wine spent 18 months in 95% new French oak. Unleash your inner tiger and slake more than your thirst with this wine.

Named Varietal Blends-Red food pairings: premium cut of steak, wild mushrooms and a rich demi-glace.

Reviews and Ratings

Holly Bruns rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

A bold expression of a blend; dark red fruit aromas, layered with pepper and woodsy cedar end in a spicy, lingering finish on the palate. The texture runs a fine balance between refreshing acidity and velvety tannin. Mmmmmm.
Matt Fowler rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A big burly red that is still very young. Aromas of dark fruit, cigar box, and cedar. Powerful tannin's are balanced with acidity. Great dark fruit in the mouth with great length. Enjoy it with a heavy decant. Buy in B.C. as the price in Ontario is expensive. Drink 2014-2019

Gold Medal Winner 2011 Wine Access Canadian Wine Awards. A true expression of the terroir from British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley. Cabernet flavours are most evident on the nose, with red bell pepper, currants, cedar and mint, but the palate is where all of the other grapes from the blend (Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Syrah) come to gether seamlessly, each bringing a crucial component to the final wine. Plenty of dark, dusty cocoa and espresso flavours contribute to a good earthy backbone, while blackberries, black Kalamata olives, prunes and currants provide healthy fruit character. An Okanagan dusty sage element adds another layer of complexity, which becomes a slight minty element on the long, beautiful, chocolaty finish.
