Reviews and Ratings

Lynn van der Linde - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This is such a wonderful expression of Tempranillo. The blend with Merlot and Syrah bring out a spicy element to the experience.
Rich garnet hue, aromas of raspberries, vanilla, oak carry through with the addition of black pepper on the palate, present tannins, balanced acidity, and a long spicy finish. Pair with barbecued meats or rich pasta dishes.
Greg Hughes rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The wine references the Vino de Pago category of wines in Spain. Much like IGT in Italy, it allows grapegrowers to experiment wth non Spanish varietals, like this blend does with Shiraz and Merlot.
The colour is a lovely purple with ruby hues.
Aromas of red meat, pastelle, cherry jam, figs, black pepper.
The flavours are less effusive than the aromas. There's lots of oak - charcoal, coffee griunds. The fruit are ripe, but almost overripe. Cherry, fig, and strawberry.very plush with a firm finish.
Pair it with charcuterie - cheese and preserved meats.
