Toasty and vibrant with green apple. Zesty refreshment. The winery sources the grapes for this fine Chardonnay-based sparkler throughout New Zealand and they use the Charmat method to preserve its vibrant fruit freshness. Clink!

Loads of apple on the palate, lemon/lime zest, slightly bitter finish.

Big, meaty green Sicilian olives with lemon zest
Oyster Bay's well-priced brut plays on the tangy side, with lots of tropical and citrus fruit in the foreground and whispers of bread dough and mineral in the background. It's a fine effort for a wine made using pressurized tanks to generate the bubbles (as opposed to the more involved bottle-fermented Champagne method). Score – 89.
