More mocha wrapped in succulent black fruit than other vintages. Full-bodied, beautifully concentrated and superbly rendered. What an amazing wine!

Reviews and Ratings

Dan Trcka Wine Blogger rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

The 2006 Osoyoos Larose Le Grand Vin has a medium body with nice aromas of integrated black cherry/blackberry, prune, coffee, violets and cedar. It is tannic (decant for more than half hour) and the finish is medium to long. Even though would benefit from 1-2 years of aging, it can be drunk now and definitely can be cellared for the next 10 or so years. I find the 2006 vintage much more appealing than the 2005 one, as it is less perfumed with floral aromas and more infused with fruit flavours. My impression: BEAUTIFUL, 91 pts. Tasted Oct/10.
Joan rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

I lived next to this vineyard and it's one of my favs! The complexity of this outstanding Bordeaux blend (known as a Meritage in North America) is a result of five grapes! Earthy aromas with scents of black currant, leather and tobacco and the taste of cherry, currant and spice with a hint of vanilla. Lingers long on the palate ... a superb wine!
Rick Barr rated this wine as 66/100
Alastair Strachan reviewed this wine as follows:

Absolutely delicious. Very smooth but and deep flavour, not strong.
