A spectacular blend of cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, merlot and malbec with a solid Bordeaux-like structure. The Okanagan signature is fully present here with a generosity of dark fruit aromas and rich, full-bodied weight. A long, satisfying finish.

Food pairings: filet mignon, pork tenderloin, pizza, pasta, hard cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

A collaboration between Group de Taillan and Constellation Brands. A big Bordelais style blend from one of the coolest places in Canada for wines of this style. This is a more approachable one than it normally is. Usually, this one has to go in the cellar for a long while. This may not keep as long, but you get everything you want with less waiting. Yum.
Ruby red, with lots of juicy fruit on the aromatics. Macerated cherry and berries. Chicory, and vanilla too. Very pleasant.
The flavours are equally fresh and fruity. Blueberry, cherry, blackberries, with well integrated oak.
Pair with roast duck and turnip.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Tasted in 2023, this is a lovely wine still showing as quite youthful but starting to show a bit of maturity. Blended from Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Malbec. Aromas of blueberry and black cherry along with hints of cassis, and notes of dried herbs, a touch of vanilla and some warm spice. Full bodied, with bright acidity, and some soft, subtle tannins on the palate. Slight hints of dried and ripe fruit, along with a slight tea-like note and herbaceous spicy hints on the finish. Enjoy with slow braised beef.
Osoyoos Larose Le Grand Vin (2013) is a benchmark Bordeaux red blend for the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia. This is a medium-plus bodied 57% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Cabernet Franc, 4% Malbec, and 6% Petit Verdot red wine blend. Decant for two hours prior to serving, but this wine could easily cellar for 10 years to show its best. - Community Wine Reviews
