Nina rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review: Pale yellow color with the watery rim. Bright, clear. On the nose summer rose aroma, citrus, pear with spice, white flowers. On the palate this wine is off dry. With aromas from nose of pear, tropical fruits. Very soft acidity. Nice fruity finish.
Corinna Horton rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review: A hint of sweetness, a nose full of flowers and a lychee undertone. The Open has the pear of riesling and the peach gewurztraminer in a bouncy little blend that makes a great opening point for the palate. A light, summer treat, this is a wine I might serve with a dish that features sweet and savory notes, or a gigantic green, garden salad. It says "fresh" but in a whisper and not a roar.
Allie Hughes rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review: An excellent value bottle, I am pleasantly surprised by how delicious this unexpected wine is! The nose is all lychee and floral, which is inviting and creates the anticipation of what is to come in the glass... and this baby delivers! The palate is refreshing with splashes of citrus, tropical notes, and is off-dry, balancing the bright acidity. I would definitely dive into a bottle of this wine again, and for the price, it will likely be a mainstay in my entertaining arsenal (wine rack).
Dan Trcka Wine Blogger rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review: The 2011 Open Riesling Gewürztraminer is a medium bodied wine, with pleasant aromas of soft green apple and faint leechie on the nose and more of a green apple on the palate. It has a refreshing acidity, soft tannins and a medium to long, slightly sweet finish. Enjoy with light food or by itself on the beach. Excellent value for $12 at a rating of 88 pts. LCBO# 134965. Tasted July/12.
Lesley Quinn - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review: This is a perfect beach wine (can you tell I am dreaming of summer already) With it's screw cap and low alcohol level you can enjoy it in the sun without risking a bloated feeling. A beautiful floral nose, and scrumptious white peach on the palate makes it ideal as a starter wine but if you want a tasty pairing idea I enjoyed it immensely with a spinach salad with mixed berries and some walnuts.
Holly Bruns rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review: Heady aromas of white flowers, ginger, pear and banana chip meet a textured, round palate with a mildly bitter finish. Great for sipping.
Jason Solanki rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review: Screw cap. Tropical fruits and pear aromas from the glass. Light and fruity with tropical fruit and peach on the palate. Off-dry. Tasted July 2012.

Dawn Montgomery reviewed this wine as follows: I like dry, I like sweet and I don’t usually like anything inbetween, but medium sweet Open Riesling-Gewürztraminer is the perfect lazy-hazy-days-of-summer drink. Fragrant and visually appealing, the bottle sports great labelling to complement the clear straw colour, whilst fresh Gewurztraminer fruit blends with Riesling balance and acidity for a very enjoyable experience. Delicious with sushi (I know ‘cos I’ve tried it), a Thai green curry, fresh fruit dessert or Pavlova…Crisp meringue paired with fruit, whipped cream and Open Riesling-Gewürztraminer is a marriage made in dessert-ville!
Susan Desjardins reviewed this wine as follows: Charming tropical, floral and spice notes are a great lead-in to the fruity, slightly sweet and spicy flavours of tropical fruit salad with a dash of fresh ginger and lime. Off dry, light-medium bodied, this is a crowd-pleasing summer sipper. Serve it with a cheese plate.
