Toasty and smoky Spanish red wine with terrific juiciness on the palate. Terrific for the money with great balance and length. Black raspberry liqueur and an espresso finish. Made from a blend of Tempranillo and Graciano grapes. Pair with rack of lamb.

Tempranillo Graciano food pairings: grilled baseball steak, hamburger, hard cheese, barbecued pork spareribs.

Reviews and Ratings

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A beautifully presented Spanish red - a blend of Tempranillo(95%) and Graciano (5%). Jammy dark fruit on the nose with underlying notes of coffee, leather and cassis. Medium bodied, medium (+) tannins showing tobacco, plum, cherries and earth on the palate with a lingering cherry finish. Perfect wine to pair with tacos and burritos.
Ontañón Reserva 2005 is a Spanish 95% Tempranillo and 5% Graciano red wine blend from the Rioja wine region and aged in American oak for 24 months. Lots of ripe fruit with leathery and vanilla nose, plum and ripe red and black berries on the palate. Drink now and for the next seven years. - Community Wine Reviews
