Reviews and Ratings

Wineboy rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

I really enjoyed this wine, but it's not your typical Malbec. Full rich plush black fruit along with noted leather and animal aromas that replay on the palate. Reminds me more of a Mourvedre than a Malbec but it's a great value if the above descriptors attract you. Steak and mushrooms.
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Crafted from hand-picked grapes for optimal fruit flavours and aged 12 mos in new French oak. Aromatic plum and mocha with a touch of smoke on nose and palate. Mouthwatering and satiny smooth. Delicious to the last drop! Great choice with beef or roast lamb.

Obra Prima Reserva 2014 is a great value Malbec under $20 from the Luján De Cuyo in Mendoza and produced by Familia Cassone. This is a full -bodied and juicy Malbec with ripe blackberry, mulberry, blueberry fruit and savoury spice flavours on the palate. Enjoy now with grilled meats. - Community Wine Reviews
