Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Smoke with dried cherries on the nose. Juicy and round on the tongue but with a nice acid balance. Overall nicely balanced. Smooth sipping with a lovely, satisfying finish. Tasted 2017. Paired well with basic BBQ beef 'sans' any overpowering seasonings.
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Cran-cherry and floral aromas galore! A pleasant light-bodied easy drinking, food friendly Pinot. The palate showcases moderate tannins and acidity in good balance with a long spice and bitter chocolate finish. Enjoy with chicken tortilla soup. Tasted May 2017 by @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
Nielson By Byron (2014) is a Pinot Noir from Santa Barbara County. Since the early 1980’s Santa Barbara County has been recognized as one of California’s great wine regions for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay varieties. The cooler, mild climate and sandy soils are perfect match for these varietals. - Community Wine Reviews
