From the Swartland wine region, Mullineux Kloof Street 2020 Chenin Blanc is excellent value at $20. Kloof Street is the second label from Mullineux Wines. Grapes are sourced from schist and granite soils from 40-year-old vines. Look for fresh pear, white stone-fruit, dried flowers, hay and wild herb flavours balanced with bright acidity on the palate. Drink or hold.

Old Vine Chenin Blanc food pairings: grilled prawns, crab cakes, fish tacos, salads topped with cubes of Edam and Fontina cheese.
