A terrific pinot noir, especially at this price point. Vibrant notes of sweet fleshy ripe cherries and raspberries. Smooth and medium- to full-bodied. Delicious! Perfect for movie night and casual get-togethers. Lovely long finish with spices and dark cherry. A value wine from truly one of Chile's best producers.

Pinot Noir food pairings: roast chicken or turkey, grilled salmon, smoked or braised meats, ratatouille with roasted garlic.

Reviews and Ratings

Community Reviewer reviewed this wine as follows:

Pure Pinot Noir heaven from the famed Casablanca Valley. This wine has 6 months of ageing in French oak and a very soft filtering. Aurelio is proud of this wine's strong varietal character and great complexity. A little darker than typical Pinots, it has a deep ruby color. The aroma, however, is classic Pinot Noir, with strong hints of violets and berries. A very satisfying wine with a long, smooth and elegant finish.

A vibrant Chilean Pinot Noir incredibly well-priced. The word Montesrefers to the white-capped Andres mountains, whose melting snows turn into the pure water that naturally irrigates the vineyards. Montes also refers to the founder's name Aurelio Montes. - Community Wine Reviews
