A truly amazing wine for the money! Classic and balanced cabernet with rich, deep layers of flavour: black plum, wild blackberry and cedar. Some spice on the finish. The bonus is that this is an organic wine. Pair with free-range beef.

Reviews and Ratings

Gwen Barton rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Las Mulas has produced a super example of Chilean Cab Sauv. Blackberry, raspberry, mint, tobacco and slight oaky notes. Fine tannins, well structured, great value. And organic to boot! Pair with BBQ ribs and corn on the cob- great summer evening red.
Lynn van der Linde - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Brilliant garnet in the glass, aromas of black cherries, vanilla and a hint of eucalyptus, with lingering red cherry flavours. Perfect with barbecues! 89pts.
Tasted June 2017.
Cherie Cole rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Summer grilling wine showcasing aromas and flavours of blackberry, black cherry, mint, vanilla, oak and cedar. It is full-bodied with grippy tannins which makes it a perfect pairing with rare grilled beef. Tasted June 01, 2017.
Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Fresh black cherry-blackberry, fine herb, leather and gentle oak spice. Grippy tannins with an edgy, medium finish. Simple but good, especially at this price. Best with beef.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Medium ruby with aromas of plum, baking spices, and a touch of cedar and graphite. The taste is mainly plum and cherry, with a little green-ness coming through Good acidity and a little young tannins. A good wine for beef stews.
Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Another good value wine from Miquel Torres from their organic vineyards in Central Valley - Chile. A fairly hefty Cabernet at 14% alcohol. Aromas of light smoke can be attributed to six months in french oak, along with blackberry and black cherry notes. Tannins are very smooth and well balanced with the acidity. A one-dimensional wine that will go with a large assortment of food; hamburgers, steak, stew or just as an after supper easy sipping wine.
Tasted June 1, 2017
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

Huge flinty minerality, charred oak, and black plum aromas dominate the nose. The palate showcases grippy tannic notes of graphite, dark chocolate, vanilla, and stewed plum. Oddly structured and unbalance. It seems over-oaked to me. Tasted June 2017 by @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

An organic red from Chile offering a more earthy profile with red and black berry notes. 14% ABV. Good with BBQ steak. Tasted June 2017. 85 points
