A lovely, medium-bodied floral French white wine made from the Viognier grape. Racy acidity for seafood.

Viognier food pairings: white fish grilled and topped with a mango salsa, lobster in a cream sauce, ham, poultry, oily nuts.

Reviews and Ratings

Rebecca Meir-Liebman - Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Love the peachy, apricot and white flower notes that are so typical to the Viognier grape variety. There is something very simple and straightforward here; it’s an everyday wine that is friendly for the palate - a definite crowd pleaser. Drink on its own especially in the hot summer evenings, or pair with fruit and vegetable salads, scallops and white fish dishes.
Wineboy rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Lovely peach and floral elements are there from start to finish but it's not overdone. Power is good but won't knock you out of the lawn-chair. Medium bodied despite a heavy 14% alc shown on the label.
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Peach and floral on the nose and palate with some melon on the taste. Nice blend of flavors without being too heavy. Tasted July 2018.
This is a great value Viognier from the Midi Wine Region and produced by Michel Gassier. Les Piliers 2016 is peachy on the nose and palate with a honeyed, toasty finish. This Viognier is off-dry finishing with a crisp acidity - a food-friendly wine and a perfect accompaniment to mild curries. - Community Wine Reviews
