Reviews and Ratings

Dale Camroux-Peacock rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

One of the things I dislike most about the changing of the seasons from fall to winter in Ontario is the idea that one of my favorite varietals, Sauvignon Blanc, should also be changing to a more "sweater weather" friendly wine. My introduction to Derek Barnett's new virtual project Meldville, and his 2015 "First Edition" Sauvignon Blanc changed all of that! Vanilla and tropical flavours are present on the nose of this aromatic Niagara Sauvignon Blanc as well as subtle flowery aromas and a slight bit of spice notes. True to his style there is amazing texture and weight giving me all that I long for in this varietal with nuances capable of carrying it over to a fire place, sweater weather white, albeit a gas fireplace now that we have downsized. For all of these reasons our team has added this Niagara gem to our by the glass program at Wellington Court.
Colin McKone - Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

This Niagara Escrapment Sauvignon Blanc displays aromas of apricot, honey suckle and spice. It has flavours of stone fruit and citrus leading into a long finish. It is light bodied with mouthwatering acidity. Will pair well with soft creamy cheeses, seafood, chicken or pork. (Tasted on March 29, 2017 at Taste Ontario)

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
