Mazzei Ser Lapo Reserva 2019 Chianti Classico is produced from 90% Sangiovese and 10% Merlot sourced from vines 15 to 30 years of age. Smoky and fragrant with black cherry on the nose, spicy and zesty on the palate with layers of earthy florals, dark cherry, blackberry and smoke. Tannins are dusty. A good cellaring candidate for 10-plus years. Drink or hold.

Chianti Classico Riserva food pairings: ravioli, beef stew, pizza, pork chops.
