From the Veneto wine region, this is the Sunday-dinner-with-the-family size (1500 ml) of Masi's Campolongo Di Torbe 2012 Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico. Brilliant and bold on the palate with a mouthful of vibrant cherry, roasted wild herbs, dark chocolate and spicy flavours on the palate accompanied by rich tannins. Mama, I need spaghetti and meatballs topped with lots of Parmesan Reggiano cheese. This vintage was awarded 3 Glasses out of 3 in the 2021 Gambero Rosso Italian Wines Guide.

Amarone della Valpolicella Classico food pairings: roast prime rib, venison tenderloin, veal Porterhouse, roast quail, Bistecca Florentine, veal Parmesan, meat-lover's pizza.

Reviews and Ratings

This is the magnum size (1500 ml) of Masi's Campolongo Di Torbe 2012 Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico. This is a gorgeous and sexy, full-bodied, supple Amarone with liquid black cherry, fine herb, baking spice, smoky vanilla flavours and a long, satisfying finish. Tannins are structured and fine. Drink or hold... on second thought, it's too good to hold. - Community Wine Reviews
