Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This is a gorgeous Veneto appassimento and the 375 ml size is perfect if you want to treat yourself to a sumptuous wine with dinner. The wine is the original ‘Supervenetian’ created by Masi in 1964 and internationally recognized as a prototype for a new category of wines from Veneto done in the Amarone style. Produced from the traditional Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara wine grapes, Masi Campofiorin 2017 is full-bodied, lush and luxurious on the palate with ripe cherry, dried sweet tobacco leaf, blue florals, rose petals, sweet spice, balanced acidity and a smooth and velvety finish. A very easy to approach and versatile wine, vegan and food-friendly. Poured February 2021 with a grilled rack of lamb rubbed with fresh rosemary and garlic, but would also pair well with aged cheeses. Tasted February 2021.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
