Lovely cherry-berry vibrancy here with perfectly balanced and mouth-watering acidity for food. Supple, satin-textured Californian Pinot in all its glory. Pair with seared tuna, planked salmon or roast chicken or turkey.

Terrific Turkey Wine

Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Medium bodied lovely from California. Lots of red fruit - red cherry, pomegranate, plums, some earthiness, oak, and herbs. Everything together so subtle but rich and sure to be a favourite. If only we got more of Mark West at LCBO. Until then I'm California Dreamin'.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

An exceptionally well balanced wine with well defined fruit and barrel aromas of tart and black cherry, white pepper, vanillla, herbs and 'barnyard'. The mouth-feel is very rich for a pinot noir and is mainly dark cherry and cranberry. A fantastic blend of old-word aromas and new-world flavours.
Martha Kelly AIWS - CS rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Another great vintage from this producer. Medium ruby in colour with soft tannins, mouthwatering and intense with flavours of Black cherry, raspberry, baking spices, black pepper, and typically earthy Pinot notes.
Rich, refreshing elegance.
Drink now, or cellar for 3 - 5 years.
Pair with duck breast, or lamb stew.
Date tasted August 2014.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Medium bodied, a lovely Pinot Noir with a bit of pepper on the nose and a rich cherry and dark plum aroma. Also slight notes of earth and spices. The same tart cherry and cranberry on the palate.
