Reviews and Ratings

Julia Kelada rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

Oh how I love getting my teeth into a wine that knows how to show up to a party! This is a wine that doesn't hold back on personality! This is a wine that is best served with a bloody steak and strong flavoured red meats like bison or lamb.

On the nose the aromas are sweet black cherries, black currants, blue berries and red currants. Sun baked hay, notes of cedar, herbal tones of thyme and bay.
On the palate there are the sweet black Morello cherries, cassis, cooked plums and dried dates. Notes of toasted oak and herbal tones of thyme and bay. Black currant licorice steps forward and mingles with spice of nutmeg, anise and cloves. The tannins are firm yet velvety. There is a final black pepper spice before a lengthy , intense finish! Yum!

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
