Simply gorgeous! Liquid silk and satin with fleshy back cherries and racy spice and acidity for food such as seafood, pork chops and game meats or duck. Wow. Owned by Torres Family of Spain.

Reviews and Ratings

Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Marimar Torres makes wine from grapes grown entirely on the estate in high-density plantings giving lower yields. This gorgeous and refined RRV Pinot is reflective of the terrain and climate and winemaking tradition. Ripe cherry, bark, delicate spice, silky-fine tannins and perfect acidity. Really lovely. Pair with grilled salmon.
Gwen Barton rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Beautiful aromas of cherry, currant and clove. Big tasting pinot noir with ripe red cherries, herbs and chocolate on the palate. Spicy warm finish. Firm, rich tannins- suggest a couple years in the cellar.
Greg Hughes rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

High profile old-world winemakers often invest in having projects in California - Christian Moueix has Dominus, Taittenger has Domaine Carneros, and Torres from Spain has this little gem.
The extraction in this Pinot is perfect - not overly astringent, but still has tons of flavour. The colour is very pale and rosey.
Aromas of sandalwood, anise, cherry, and cassis explode out of the glass. As is typical with Cali Pinot, the fruit are pretty gushy, so much of the spice character takes a back seat.
Mouthfeel is silky-smooth. Tannins are nice and ripe - lots of replays of red fruit with a touch of brambley blackberry, cedar, and worn leather.
A lovely wine for assorted charcuterie.
