Fresh on the nose with attractive black plum, coffee and smoke on the nose on this South African red wine. Very savoury and meaty on the palate. Beautifully balanced with just the right amount of acidity. Try it with hearty meat dishes and tangy sauce.

Pinotage food pairings: barbecued chicken, sausages, fajitas.

Reviews and Ratings

Gwen Barton rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Bright cherry and strawberry fruit aromas. Mild coffee and chocolate flavours, as well as an interesting faint floral note in this Pinotage. Soft tannins with a hint of cinnamon on the finish. Ready to drink. Very enjoyable.
Fresh black plum, black, red berry and coffee on this full-bodied, ruby South African Pinotage. On the palate, it has more of those berry and plum flavours, lingering coffee and smoke finish. Balanced acidity to fruit and tannins are well-integrated. This is a pinotage to try if you would like to really see all that a pinotage can become. - Community Wine Reviews
