I abandoned my diet long before writing this tasting note. Wow, what a lovely dessert wine. Lip-smacking flavours of strawberry jam and preserves. Will someone preserve my waistline? Available from the winery or at local farmers' markets.

Strawberry food pairings: dark chocolate desserts, chocolate marble cheese cake.

Crafted from our delicately handpicked strawberries is this luscious fruit dessert wine full of summer berry flavors. It is named after the Peticodiac River which flows into Moncton and because of the tidal bore coming in twice a day, the river is always muddy looking so its nicknamed the Chocolate River. Honestly when the sun shines on the banks it looks like a bank of chocolate.
