M. Chapoutier Sicamor 2018 Crozes-Hermitage Syrah is rich with dark cherry, red berry, blackberry, smoked meat, savoury herbs, well-integrated oak spice, lovely and lush with balanced acidity and velvety tannins. Sicamor is a new offering from Chapoutier, from a blend of Syrahs from different terroirs across Hermitage. The wine is unfiltered and unfined.

Food pairings: rack of lamb, roast breast of veal stuffed with dried apricots, roast duck.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Rich and robust. This is 100% Syrah, sourced from different terroir across the region. Aromas of juicy blackberry and cherry, along with warm baking spices and black pepper. Full bodied, rich on the palate with some drying tannins and medium acidity. Fruit notes are balanced with savoury hints and a spicy finish. Enjoy with slow roasted beef short ribs.
