So pretty! Lovely fleshy black cherry and a velvet texture. So loaded with character yet not heavy. Love this. Pair with grilled chicken.

Gamay food pairings: Morgan veal stew with mushroom and pearl onions, pork schnitzel, vegetable kebabs.

With notes of sweet fruit this medium coloured French red has a delicious cherry and vanilla on the tongue. Smooth finish makes this a nice sipping wine that would also pair nicely with chicken or pork dishes.

A luscious medium bodied and dry red from Coteaux Bourguignons. Ruby red and 12.5% ABV. Well balanced fruit, acidity and tannins and integrated alcohol. Tart cherry and ripe pomegranate with savoury notes. Layers of flavour, well structured. Paired well with festive turkey dinner and cranberry. Tasted Jan 2017. Rated 89/100.

Fun wine for a good price. People are familiar with the two main varietals most commonly found in this AOC: Pinot Noir and Gamay Noir. There are others, however. Cesar and Tressot are uncommon, but permitted. Whites can incorporate Aligote and Chardonnay. This one is predominantly Gamay, since the producer is from Beaujolais.
The colour is a pale ruby.
Aromas revolve around sour cherry, ickory, wet stone, cinnamon, and spent tea leaves.
Flavours are vibrant, with plenty of pommegranate, cherry, raspberry, and blackberry. There is some used oak that comes out on the finish.
This is good wine for hot weather. Could even stand a chill, if you absolutely must....

Medium clear ruby color with clear rim. Juicy red fruit and bing cherry aroma. A subtle tast of cherry chewing gum stick and feint smoke. Medium-plus acidity with medium fruity finish.

Alex: Savory plum and vanilla on the nose, with accents of peach and rhubarb. Tart palate, with more roundness and weight from the oak use. Simple, juicy and succulent. Well-done gamay. 87pts

Priya: I also smell a bit of cinnamon or maybe cardamom here. Dry and drying on the palate although it's not very tannic. Robust I'd say. 85pts

In 2011, the regional appellation of Coteaux Bourguignons was formed. This designation is a broad one in Burgundy and allows for red wines to be made from Gamay and/or Pinot Noir. Produced by Louis Tête, a winery established in Beaujolais in the 19th century. - Community Wine Review
