Louis Max Beaucharme 2016 is a bit of a wild child Pinot Noir from Burgundy with lively acidity, sour cherry, mushroom, earthy floral flavours on the palate. Tannins are ripe and this medium-bodied PN and it has excellent acidity for food. Pair it with roast chicken.

Pinot Noir food pairings: mushroom risotto, pot-au-feu.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Bright and lively! Aromas of tart cherry, earth and smoke. Light to medium bodied with bright acidity, and lots of cherry on the palate and extending on the finish. Enjoy with grilled salmon or pork.
Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Refined Pinot Noir from Louis Max Beaucharme, located in the Bourgogne region, offer aromas of cherry, raspberry, dried herbs, rose, cocoa and clove. A light body, combined with a light fruity finish, the Louis Max 2016 shows surprising balance for a Pinot Noir. The tannins are present, as well as the acidity, perfectly complimenting one another. Flavors of raspberry, cherry, potpourri, potting soil and allspice. Enjoy.
Beaucharme 2016 is a great value Burgundian Pinot Noir with lively tart cherries, red currant, fresh mushroom and spice flavours on its medium-bodied frame. Fantastic acidity for good. Pair with roast chicken. - Community Wine Reviews
